No. 14 Auburn is holding steady as a No. 5 seed in Joe Lunardi’s bracketology for ESPN.
Lunardi’s bracket has Auburn matched up with No. 12 seed Charleston in the South Region, who he has winning the Colonial Athletic Conference to automatically qualify for the tournament.
The Tigers have had a great start to the season, winning their first eight games and only three have been decided by less than 10 points.
Auburn once again has another great defense that makes it tough for opponents to finish around the basket, they lead the country with 8.3 blocks per game. Their 58.0 points allowed per game are the 16th fewest in the country and the 3rd fewest in the SEC.
The offense struggled to start the season but has started to come into its own. The Tigers drilled a season-high 10 3-pointers in their 93-66 beatdown of Colgate on Friday. They also shot 56.3% from the field in the game.
