Auburn football has added some experience to the linebacker position.
Former North Carolina linebacker Eugene Asante has committed to the Auburn football team and will have a chance to play right away in the Tiger defense.
Asante appeared in 12 games for North Carolina last season. He had 23 tackles, two quarterback hurries, one pass break-up, and 0.5 tackles for loss.

He will be in the battle for the linebacker spot next to Owen Pappoe.
Asante is listed as a junior on their official roster.
