Auburn football knocked out of US LBM Coaches Poll contention following Saturday’s loss

For the first time all season, Auburn is no longer a part of the “receiving votes” category of the US LBM Coaches Poll.

Auburn football lost momentum with the US LBM Coaches Poll following Saturday’s loss to California.

The Tigers were part of the “receiving votes” category for the season’s first two weeks. However, following a loss to a lesser opponent in Cal, Auburn has fallen out of contention for a spot in the top 25.

The SEC continues to dominate the coaches poll. Four of the top five teams belong to the SEC with Georgia taking the top spot, followed by Texas (No. 3), Alabama (No. 4), and Ole Miss (No. 5). Missouri and Tennessee round out the top 10 at No. 8 and No. 9 respectively, Oklahoma checks in at No. 13 and LSU resides at No. 17 to round out the SEC’s representation. Texas A&M and South Carolina enter week three in the “receiving votes” category.
