Tyrone Truesdell is not a part of the Auburn football team.
Auburn football’s fall camp started late last week and Truesdell was nowhere to be seen. The senior defensive tackle was expected to be a key part of Auburn’s defensive front this year in Derek Mason’s versatile defense. That does not appear to be the case.
“As of right now, he’s not a part of this football team,” Harsin said. “That’s where we stand at this point.”
His absence becomes a much bigger loss for the Tigers after Jeremiah Wright tore his ACL in spring practice. Auburn will now go to senior transfer Tony Fair and freshman Lee Hunter to hold down the interior defensive line.
Throughout fall camp, standout defensive lineman Colby Wooden pointed out his ability to scoot inside. Also, Mason said earlier in the week that Kansas transfer Marcus Harris could also play inside if he needed to.
Truesdell played in 10 games last year and registered 22 tackles on the season.
