Auburn basketball’s stock is sky-high right now.
The Tigers have jumped into the top 10 of the latest Associated Press Poll, and are now the No. 8 team in the country. They are riding an 11-game winning streak and are now 16-2 on the season. They improved to 5-0 in SEC play with a dominant 82-59 win over Ole Miss on Saturday night.
They are one of three SEC teams to make the top 10, joining No. 5 Tennessee and No. 6 Kentucky. Alabama, Florida, and Ole Miss also received votes, but not enough to be ranked.
Auburn is set to have its toughest game of the season on Wednesday when the Tigers head to Tuscaloosa to take on Alabama in Coleman Coliseum. The Crimson Tide are 8-1 at home and have one of the best offenses in the country.
The game is set to start at 6:30 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on ESPN. The Tigers have lost their two showdowns with Alabama but will be coming in with plenty of momentum and looking to make a statement.
