Auburn commit Adam Hopkins working to flip Gabriel Harris from Georgia

Adam Hopkins and Gabriel Harris used to play high school together and Hopkins is trying to get them to reunite on the Plains.

Auburn landing four-star wide receiver [autotag]Adam Hopkins[/autotag] was a big win for the Tigers on the recruiting trail but he is working to make it even better.

Hopkins grew up with four-star Georgia commit [autotag]Gabriel Harris[/autotag] and he is working to flip him from Auburn’s rival.

“I’ve known him since Pre-K, like we grew up together,” Hopkins told Auburn Undercover’s Christian Clemente after Auburn’s game over Missouri.

The two played together at Thomasville County Central before Harris transferred to IMG Academy for his senior year. Both were in attendance for Auburn’s game against Missouri and Hopkins took the chance to work on flipping his friend.

The two talk frequently but this was a chance for Hopkins to make his sales pitch in person.

“I was telling him that he already knows the deal,” Hopkins said. “I was telling him this the spot, but he already knows that though.”

The game was one of the best Hopkins has ever attended, and he may have been one of the few unsurprised by the ending since he predicted it.

“Oh yeah man, wild game,” Hopkins said. “Had me off the seat. That’s probably one of the craziest games I’ve been to. I ain’t never actually been to a game that close. It’s probably one of the wildest.”

“It was turnt,” Hopkins said. “Me and my home boy we was actually saying what was going to happen, we said they was going top fumble. We called it, it was kind of crazy. We was like, ‘They’re going to fumble bro, we’re good.’”
