Auburn is back looking for a quarterback in the 2024 recruiting class.
[autotag]Adrian Posse[/autotag] officially decommitted from the Tigers Saturday night but the move was not unexpected. Since Hugh Freeze[autotag] took over the Tigers have expressed interest in other quarterbacks and it was clear they had different plans than the previous staff.
That was clear in his message when he thanked Bryan Harsin, Eric Kiesau, and Roc Bellantoni by name, and none of them are still with Auburn.
“I want to give a special thanks to Coach Bryan Harsin, Coach Eric Kiesau, and Coach Roc Bellantoni as well as Auburn University for all they have done for me. However, after thorough and careful consideration with my family, I have decided to decommit from Auburn and reopen my recruitment.”
Posse is the No. 187 overall player and No. 15 quarterback in the 247Sports Composite ranking. The four-star prospect is also the No. 32 player from Florida.
Some names to watch our Walker White, Will Hammond, and Air Noland. Auburn has offered White and Hammond since Freeze was hired and Noland is expected to visit Auburn soon and was very high on the Tigers before Posse committed.
Auburn still has a commitment from four-star cornerback A’Mon Lane in their 2024 class.
