Atlanta is 6-1 straight up (SU) and against the spread (ATS) in the last seven games with the latest being a 122-115 home win over the Brooklyn Nets as a 2.5-point underdog.

Toronto had its five-game win streak (4-1 ATS) snapped Sunday in a 114-109 loss to the Miami Heat at home as a 4.5-point favorite.

The Raptors are 2-1 SU and ATS versus the Hawks this season and the total is 2-1 Over/Under (O/U).

Money line

PASS with a heavy “lean” towards the Raptors (-180) because I’d rather have Toronto’s ML than the spread but it’s a little too expensive.

However, Toronto is 12th in net rating and Atlanta is 14th and the Raptors are much better against mid-tier teams.

Toronto is 16-11 SU versus teams in the middle-10 of net efficiency with a plus-1.6 adjusted net rating (ranked 11th), according to CleaningTheGlass.com (CTG).

While Atlanta is 11-17 SU versus mid-tier teams with a minus-2.4 adjusted net rating (ranked 18th) and 6-16 SU as a road underdog.

But, I’m confident enough in Toronto in this spot to lay the points and PASS on the Raptors (-180).

Against the spread

GIMME the RAPTORS -4.5 (-107) for 1 unit because this is a much better spot for Toronto and they’ve gotten good looks versus the Hawks this season.

The Hawks are 4-13 ATS on the road versus teams with a winning record, 1-7 ATS as 3-to-4.5-point underdogs and have a minus-2.6 ATS margin when playing mid-tier teams (ranked 25th), per CTG. The Raptors are 13-7 ATS at home versus winning teams.

Atlanta is also 27th in defensive 3-point percentage and Toronto is shooting 47.3% from behind the arc versus the Hawks this season.

The Hawks are also just 4-11 ATS in their last 15 visits to Toronto and PG Trae Young is 0-3 SU in his three career trips north of the border.

BET the RAPTORS -4.5 (-107) unless Toronto’s ML gets to -160 or cheaper.

Over/Under

LEAN OVER 225.5 (-112) because Toronto has shot extremely well versus Atlanta. The Hawks are also one of the best 3-point shooting teams in the NBA and the Raptors have suspect 3-point defense. Toronto is thin in the backcourt and Atlanta guards Kevin Huerter and Bogdanovich can get hot.

However, I’m much more confident in Toronto’s spread but there’s a little value in an OVER 225.5 (-112) wager.
