The Atlanta Hawks (25-26) travel to Scotiabank Arena Friday to take on the Toronto Raptors (27-23). Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Hawks vs. Raptors odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.
The Hawks are coming into this game following a 9-point win over the Phoenix Suns at home as 3-point underdogs. This is their second night of a back-to-back.
Atlanta has covered 8 of its last 9 games, pushing its against the spread record to 23-28 this season. Toronto has been much better ATS with a 29-21 record this season.
The Raptors are also playing the second night of a back-to-back, beating the Bulls by 7 in overtime as 4.5-point favorites. This is the Raptors’ fourth game in 5 days. Nonetheless, they’ve covered all 4.

Hawks at Raptors odds, lines, picks and predictions
Prediction
Raptors 114, Hawks 109
Money line
“LEAN” to the RAPTORS -160.
I prefer taking the points and the better odds, but this would work as well. The Raptors are allowing just 106.8 points per game, the 9th-fewest.
G Fred VanVleet, who ranks second in deflections, will get the challenge of defending G Trae Young, who is averaging the fourth-most points per game in the league.
VanVleet and a Raptors defense that can switch 1-5 should be able to neutralize the Hawks’ pick-and-roll offense. The Hawks run the second-most pick-and-rolls in the NBA.
The Raptors’ size should disrupt what the Hawks do best, giving Toronto the advantage.
Against the spread
BET on the RAPTORS -3.5 (-108).
The Raptors beat the Hawks in Atlanta Jan. 31.
While the Hawks were without Young, the Raptors got 56 points from F Pascal Siakam and G Gary Trent Jr. Both are playing at a high level, which has helped Toronto win 4 straight.
Toronto is a league-best 7-2 ATS with no rest, so their depth and youth give them an advantage, one that should help dictate this Eastern Conference battle.
Over/Under
PASS on the total. I like the Under here but not nearly as much as the Raptors spread.
While both teams are over-.500 on the Over this season, they’re also each 4-5 O/U with no rest. Tired legs could hurt the shooting, especially as the two combined for 206 points the last time they met.
