The Hawks are coming off a 117-112 home loss to the New Orleans Pelicans Sunday but had won four of their previous five games. They are in 10th place in the Eastern Conference with a five-game lead over the 11th-place Washington Wizards and New York Knicks with 11 games left on their schedule. The 10th place team will participate in the play-in games to determine the final two playoffs seeds in the East.
The Knicks are wrapping up a four-game homestand Tuesday. They were blown out by the Utah Jazz 108-93 Sunday after winning the first two games of the homestand. New York has won five of its last eight games but lost 11 of 12 prior to that. They trail the Hawks by five games for the final play-in spot in the Eastern Conference.

Against the spread
The Hawks are 29-42 ATS overall this season and 10-24 ATS on the road. They have covered the spread in only two of their last 10 games. They failed to cover the spread in any of the three games against the Knicks this season.
The Knicks did not cover the spread in their last two games but did in seven straight outings before that. However, they are 14-21 ATS at home on the year.
