Hawks at Cavaliers: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Hawks 122, Cavaliers 111

Money line (ML)

The Hawks (-275) are a sub-.500 team with a 6-8 SU record on the road this season. They are a better team that the Cavaliers (+225), yes, but they have no business laying this kind of number against anyone, especially on the road. PASS.

Against the spread (ATS)

The HAWKS -6.5 (-115) have had a difficult time over the years against the Cavaliers +6.5 (-105), failing to cash in each of the past five meetings in this series. However, Atlanta has cashed in six of their past eight as a favorite, while going 7-3 ATS in the past 10 against teams with a losing overall record.

On the flip side, Cleveland has failed to cover in 13 straight games dating back to Jan. 27, and the Cavs are 5-17 ATS in the past 22 games as an underdog.

Over/Under (O/U)

The OVER 228.5 (-110) has hit in eight in a row for Atlanta, including 4-0 in their past four games on the road. Cleveland was playing outstanding defense early in the season, but injuries have hurt them and their D has suffered. The Over is 11-2 in the past 13 against a team with a losing straight up record, while going 5-1-1 in the past seven on a day of rest.

In this series, the Over is 23-9 in the past 32 meetings, while going 21-8 in the previous 29 meetings in Northeast Ohio.
