The Atlanta Hawks (26-33) and Brooklyn Nets (23-36) face off Saturday. Tip-off from Barclays Center is set for 3 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Hawks vs. Nets odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Brooklyn leads 2-1

Atlanta was routed by the Brooklyn Nets 124-97 Thursday while failing to cover as a 1-point road underdog. The Hawks have been held under 100 points in back-to-back road games. Thursday’s loss ended a short 2-game win streak for Atlanta.

Brooklyn shot 51.1% from the field and 47.8% from deep in the win while also out-rebounding the Hawks 43-39 and winning the turnover battle 14-10. Brooklyn has won 2 of its last 3 and has covered the spread in 5 consecutive wins.

Hawks at Nets picks and predictions

Prediction

Nets 110, Hawks 107

Moneyline

LEAN NETS (+100).

Brooklyn is at home where it is 16-12-3 ATS. Atlanta, which is 9-18 ATS on the road and 11-17 straight up on the road, won’t have its leading scorer in G Trae Young (26.5 points per game).

Since the line is Nets +1, why take the point when we can get even-money with a straight-up win?

Against the spread

PASS.

I like the Nets to win outright, so I’m not going to bother taking the point. If you want insurance of the 1 point, I get it. Just don’t bet more than 1½ combined units between the Nets ML and the Nets spread.

Though these are not records to brag about, Brooklyn has been the better team ATS this season at 26-30-3, while Atlanta is 19-40 ATS.

Plus, Brooklyn has covered the spread vs. Atlanta in their last 5 meetings, dating to the middle of last season, and is 7-3 ATS vs. the Hawks in the last 10.

Over/Under

LEAN UNDER 218.5 (-110).

The Under is 5-1 in Brooklyn’s last 6 games and is 8-2 in its last 10 outings.  For the season, the Under is also 32-26-1 on the season in Nets games.

While Atlanta is 32-27 O/U on the season, the Under is 4-1 in its last 5 games, and top-scorer Young is out.

This is only a lean because the Over has been slightly safer for Atlanta this season and because the Over/Under battles have been even in recent Atlanta/Brooklyn matchups — 2-2 in the last 4, 5-5 in the last 10.
