Atlanta Falcons Week 2 injury report: Friday practice updates

Falcons Friday Injury Report: Kaleb McGary limited, Antonio Hamilton returns, Nate Landman OUT

The Atlanta Falcons and the Philadelphia Eagles are set to face off on Monday night and both teams are in decent shape health-wise. On Friday, the Falcons listed four players on their injury report. Linebacker Nate Landman was out for the second day in a row with calf and quad injuries.

Right tackle Kaleb McGary was limited due to a groin injury and running back Jase McClellan was added to Friday’s injury report with a knee issue. The rookie was listed as a limited participant, so hopefully it’s nothing serious.

On the bright side, Falcons cornerback Antonio Hamilton returned after missing Thursday’s practice. Hamilton was held out of the team’s season opener due to a groin injury.

If Landman can’t play in Week 2, which appears likely, Falcons rookie JD Bertrand will see an expanded role. Atlanta’s 2024 draft class played no offensive or defensive snaps in Week 1 but Bertrand got some work on special teams.

Monday’s game starts at 8:15 ET inside Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. The Eagles are currently 6.5-point favorites entering this Week 2 matchup. Make sure to check out the Falcons’ latest depth chart and updated 53-man roster!
