The Atlanta Falcons (0-1) and Los Angeles Rams (0-1) both dropped their season openers in Week 1 and will now square off Sunday at SoFi Stadium. Kickoff is set for 4:05 p.m. ET (FOX). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Falcons vs. Rams odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.
The Falcons should be 1-0 right now, but as they often do, they blew a big 4th-quarter lead against the New Orleans Saints in Week 1. They were up 16 points with 13 minutes remainings but allowed New Orleans to battle all the way back, eventually losing 27-26 on a field goal with 19 seconds left. The Falcons had 8 more first downs and put up 416 total yards, but they still came up short.
The Rams also lost in Week 1, getting blown out 31-10 at home by the Buffalo Bills. QB Matthew Stafford threw 3 interceptions, the team rushed for just 52 yards and new WR Allen Robinson was targeted just twice. It was a frustrating loss for the defending champions, but it did come against the Super Bowl favorites.

Falcons at Rams picks and predictions
Prediction
Rams 24, Falcons 17
Money line
After seeing the way the Rams played last week and the impressive performance the Falcons put together in their loss, I’m not touching the money line in this game.
It’s simply not worth taking the Rams at -500 and I’m not confident enough in the Falcons that they’ll beat LA outright.
PASS.
Against the spread
The Falcons easily covered the spread against the Saints and should’ve won outright. The Rams, on the other hand, didn’t come close to covering against Buffalo.
Giving the Falcons 10.5 points is a lot to be given how they looked for 3.5 quarters last week, and it’s not as if the Rams impressed on offense. Now Los Angeles will be without its starting center, too.
Take the FALCONS +10.5 (-120) to cover the spread.
Over/Under
The Under is 6-0 in the last 6 games when the Rams host a team with a losing record. They only scored one touchdown and 10 total points last week, and though the Bills are a quality defense, Stafford looked rusty.
Bet the UNDER 46.5 (-105) in this one.
