Atlanta Falcons at Baltimore Ravens odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Atlanta Falcons at Baltimore Ravens odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Atlanta Falcons (5-9) and the Baltimore Ravens (9-5) meet on Saturday in Week 16. Kickoff from M&T Bank Stadium is scheduled for 1 p.m. (FOX). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Falcons vs. Ravens odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Falcons slink into Charm City with an offense that is really struggling. Atlanta has posted 18 or fewer points in 5 of the last 6 games, and not much changed in Week 15 in New Orleans.

The team turned the keys of the offense over to rookie QB Desmond Ridder, benching the AWOL QB Marcus Mariota. Ridder was just 13-of-26 for 97 yards with no touchdowns, no interceptions and really, no difference, from Mariota.

The Ravens offense has been struggling with QB Lamar Jackson sidelined for the last 2 games, and most of the previous 3 outings. However, things hit rock-bottom in a 13-3 loss in Cleveland last Saturday.

Baltimore is now just 1-4 ATS in the last 5 games, with the Under going 5-1 in the last 6 games, and 9-2 over the previous 11 contests.

Falcons at Ravens picks and predictions

Prediction

Ravens 17, Falcons 13

Moneyline

The Ravens (-280) will cost you nearly 2.8 times your potential return, and that’s way too much to risk on a standalone wager, especially backing a team which is struggling to put points on the board with their backup QB.

PASS.

Against the spread

Play the FALCONS +6 (-109) on the road, not so much because they’re doing such amazing things, but because the Ravens just haven’t been able to move the football lately.

Baltimore has averaged just 9.7 points per game in the last 3 games, managing just 2 total TDs in 11-plus quarters since Jackson went down with his knee ailment against the Denver Broncos.

Over/Under

UNDER 34.5 (-108) is the play here, as temperatures in Baltimore are going to be raw. The forecast calls for no precipitation, which is good, but temperatures in the low 20’s, with a feels-like temperature in the single digits due to gusty winds at 12-18 mph.

Passing will be an adventure, and neither of these teams are inclined to put it in the air much either, with Ridder cutting his teeth in his 2nd NFL start, and Huntley making his 3rd start in a row in place of the injured Jackson.

This game will be considered high scoring if the total gets out of the 20s.
