Around the NBA: Giannis Antetokounmpo drops 41 points to lead Bucks to victory in game 3 vs. Suns, 120-100

As the Golden State Warriors turn their attention to the draft after a pair of losses in the Western Conference play-in tournament, Warriors Wire is looking around the association with the NBA Finals officially underway.

After back-to-back wins for the Phoenix Suns to open the series, game three brought the Finals to Milwaukee. With the series shifted to Fiserv Forum, the Bucks got into some home cooking behind Giannis Antetokounmpo. 

The former Most Valuable Player caught fire, scoring a sizzling 41 points on 14-of-23 shooting from the field in game three. Antetokounmpo added to his red-hot performance with 13 rebounds, six assists and a steal in 38 minutes for the Bucks. 

Behind Antetokounmpo, Jrue Holiday, Khris Middleton, Bobby Portis and Brook Lopez added double-figure scoring efforts to help the Bucks seal their first win of the 2021 NBA Finals, 120-100. 

After a pair of impressive performances, The Suns’ backcourt tandem of Chris Paul and Devin Booker went quiet, combining for only 29 points on 11-of-28 shooting from the field.

Following a win on Sunday, the Bucks will have the chance to even the series with another victory at home. Game four between the Bucks and Suns is slated for Wednesday in Milwaukee at 6 p.m. PT.
