Armoni Goodwin expected to play vs. Ole Miss on Saturday

Goodwin will make his return after missing the last three games with a hamstring injury.

The Tigers will be getting a major piece back on offense ahead of Saturday’s key home game against the No. 7 Ole Miss Rebels.

Running back Armoni Goodwin has missed the last three games with what was described as a “significant” hamstring injury. He had surgery to repair it and is expected to take the field this week for the Tigers after a successful procedure.

Before his injury, Goodwin saw the bulk of the carries in LSU’s backfield. On the year, he has 34 carries for 199 yards and five touchdowns. During his absence, Josh Williams stepped up to lead the backfield.

LSU may look to ease Goodwin back onto the field, so expect to still see a heavy dose of Williams, as well as [autotag]Noah Cain[/autotag] and [autotag]John Emery Jr.[/autotag], on Saturday.

It looks like LSU’s backfield will be at full strength for a crucial matchup against the Rebels, who enter this one undefeated and ranked as the No. 7 team in the country.
