Former North Carolina Tar Heels standout Armando Bacot didn’t hear his name selected in the 2024 NBA draft the past two days but he’s getting is shot to land on a roster.
Following the draft, Bacot has reportedly signed an exhibit 10 contract with the Utah Jazz per beat writer Tony Jones. He made the report just a few hours after the draft was completed.
Bacot spent five seasons at North Carolina, taking advantage of his extra COVID-19 year. In those five seasons, Bacot became the program’s all-time leading rebounder, passing Tyler Hansbrough on that list. He finished second to Hansbrough in total points in his career.
The Utah Jazz are signing Armando Bacot to an Exhibit 10 contract, League Sources tell The Athletic. Bacot is a 6-10 big out of North Carolina. He had been one of the best players in college basketball

While Bacot wasn’t drafted, he still gets a shot to prove he belongs in the NBA. Bacot will get the chance to play Summer League ball with the Jazz and hopefully earn a spot for training camp later this Summer.
It will be interesting to see how Bacot’s game transfers to the NBA level as scouts weren’t very high on his game as evident by not being drafted.
