Armando Bacot returns to UNC basketball court

Armando Bacot was back on the court in the Dean Dome this week.

Former North Carolina Tar Heels’ center Armando Bacot ended his career with the program after last season, spending five years in Chapel Hill. In that time, Bacot fell in love with the university and gave his blood, sweat and tears to the program, even playing hurt through a run to the national title game in 2022.

As Bacot awaits what’s next in his life, the star returned to the court in Chapel Hill recently.

Bacot was on the floor playing some games with his former teammates and new members of the program. And the Tar Heels’ social media account caught it and made sure to share it with fans on X.

It’s nice to see Bacot back on the court in the Dean Dome even though it was for some pickup games. Bacot left a legacy with the program, leaving as the all-time leading rebounder and finishing second in total points for his career.

Could a potential staff spot be in the future for Bacot down the line? It’s possible as he certainly loves the game and knows the program very well. But we need to see where his professional career goes first.
