Armando Bacot named top ‘super senior’ in college basketball

UNC basketball forward Armando Bacot was named the top ‘super senior’ by NCAA analyst Andy Katz.

The college basketball landscape is different in terms of classes due to the COVID-19 pandemic and an extra season of eligibility. One North Carolina standout is taking advantage of the extra year and returning for a fifth and final season.

That’s preseason All-American Armando Bacot.

The forward has decided to return for one more go and will be North Carolina’s best player again this season. And a key to success for the Tar Heels if they want to get back to the NCAA Tournament.

On Monday, Bacot was also named the top ‘super senior’ going into this year by NCAA analyst Andy Katz:

Katz beat out several players including Texas transfer Max Abrams who was number two on the list. Bacot was also the only Atlantic Coast Conference player on this list.

North Carolina begins the 2023-24 season by hosting Radford on November 6th.
