Armando Bacot has elite tweet to troll himself after returning to UNC

UNC basketball center Armando Bacot trolled himself on Twitter with a Perry Ellis tweet shortly after saying he was returning.

The North Carolina Tar Heels received some much-needed good news on Wednesday as center Armando Bacot announced he was returning for a fifth and final year.

After missing the 2023 NCAA Tournament to cap off a disappointing season, the Tar Heels are looking to figure things out and get this program back on track. And Bacot will be a big piece in doing so.

He returns after earning All-ACC First-Team honors for the second time, posting a double-double average for his senior year. While Twitter was excited to hear the news of Bacot returning, the center had some fun with his decision shortly after.

Bacot posted a picture of former Kansas player Perry Ellis to troll himself:

For those not familiar, Ellis is often brought up among college basketball fans because it felt like he was at Kansas for at least 10 years. Ellis played just four seasons with the Jayhawks from 2012-2016.

To see Bacot have some fun with his decision is awesome and shows that he can take some jokes.  It’s also smart of Bacot to take advantage of that fifth year due to COVID-19 eligibility and make some more money with the NIL deals.
