Arkansas-Texas A&M to kickoff at 11 a.m. in Jerry World

The ‘Southwest Classic’ will be kicking off at 11 a.m. from Jerry World on September 30, the league office announced Monday.

Lose to BYU, and you get the dreaded 11 a.m. kickoff.

That’s what happened to Arkansas on Monday, when the SEC announced that the Aggies and Razorbacks would lead off the day from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

It remains to be announced whether or not the game will be on ESPN or SEC Network. That determination will be made after this upcoming weekend’s slate.

Arkansas lost to the Aggies last year in heartbreaking fashion, 23-21, and the game was at night.

When the Razorbacks snapped their nine-game losing skid to A&M two years ago, it was a 2:30 CBS kickoff.

The 2020 game was at night as well, so this is the first time since 2019 that the two teams will play early.

It was also announced on Monday that ESPN’s ‘A’ team will call the LSU-Arkansas game on Saturday night.
