Treylon Burks looks to be the next big-time receiver out of the SEC, and he’s already drawing comparisons to Tennessee Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown.
At the NFL Scouting Combine on Wednesday, the Arkansas wide receiver openly welcomed the comparison to Brown:
“There’s some comparisons in that just by body structure, how big we are, how fast we are,” Burks said on Wednesday via Jim Wyatt of TitansOnline. “Yes sir, I’ve watched him along the way in my college career, and there’s a little bit of comparisons.”
The Arkansas product also revealed that he has met with basically every team. With their need at wide receiver, it’s safe to assume the Titans are one of them.
Burks exploded this past season for the Razorbacks, hauling in 66 catches for 1,104 receiving yards. At 6-foot-3, 225 pounds, he has a similar stature as Brown.
Aside from their physical attributes, Burks is a player that is excellent over the middle of the field, much like Brown has been in the NFL.
While the Titans grabbed Brown with the No. 51 overall pick in the second round of the 2019 NFL draft, Burks has consistently been mocked to go off the board at the end of the first round.
He’s also been mocked to the Titans with the 26th overall pick on several occasions. Imagine having to have two A.J. Browns on the same roster.
