There aren’t many SEC teams that are having a more disappointing season than [autotag]Arkansas basketball[/autotag] (10-10, 1-6 SEC). Fortunately, the next team on the Razorbacks’ schedule is one of those teams.
Dennis Gates’ Missouri Tigers (8-12, 0-7 SEC) are having a rough go of it after a successful first year in Colombia. The Tigers are the only team in the SEC yet to win a conference game this season, but have shown flashes of competitiveness at certain times.
Most recently, they went on the road and gave red-hot South Carolina a real scare, leading for most of the game before eventually letting go of the rope and coming up short 72-64.
Similarly, the Hogs gave No. 6 Kentucky a tough fight on Saturday in Bud Walton Arena before eventually coming up short, 63-57. Both teams looked much-improved on the defensive for the better part of 40 minutes, but struggled to score down the stretch and capitalize on opportunities.
