The question wasn’t whether Arkansas would fall in the polls after Saturday’s loss to Texas A&M. It was how far.
Not too bad, all things considered.
The Razorbacks went from No. 10 to No. 19 heading into Week 5 in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll. Texas A&M jumped three spots to No. 17.
Arkansas’ showing means the Razorbacks have been ranked every week this year with a low of No. 23 and a high No. 10.
The SEC, per usual, were the captains of the rankings. Georgia held tight at No. 1 and Alabama, which visits Fayetteville on Saturday, was at No. 2. Kentucky went up one spot to No. 8 and Tennesee jumped three spots to No. 9. Ole Miss went up two spots to No. 11.
Florida was the only SEC team to fall from the Top 25 after Tennessee won their meeting in Knoxville. They were a de facto No. 28. Mississippi State picked up 10 points worth of votes and LSU picked up four.
