Arkansas’ Sam Pittman talks about the challenges of playing in Baton Rouge

This Saturday night in Baton Rouge will not be Sam Pittman’s first rodeo in Death Valley.

This Saturday night in Baton Rouge will not be Sam Pittman’s first rodeo in Death Valley. The last time he led the Arkansas Razorbacks into Tiger Stadium, he came away with a three-point victory.

Arkansas is coming off of a tough loss at home to the BYU Cougars last Saturday 38-31. That makes its record coming into this game 2-1, the same record that LSU has right now. The Tigers lost to Florida State in the first game of the season before rolling off two straight wins. One in their home opener against Grambling and one on the road against Mississippi State.

Pittman was asked about what he learned playing in Baton Rouge last time, here is what he had to say.

“There’s some things that you have to control,” Pittman said. “One of them is the noise. You have to get ready for the noise. We have to play clean. We’re going to have to cut our penalties.

“But the noise is the biggest thing out there… We’ll be ready to play, I know they will be too.”

The Hogs know that they are walking into a hostile environment. This time, LSU wants to send Pittman home with a loss.
