Arkansas ranked 16th in USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll after Georgia loss

Arkansas football fell five spots after a loss to Georgia in Week 5.

It wasn’t the best Saturday to remember, but Arkansas football is still highly ranked.

The USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll was released Sunday and the Hogs found themselves ranked 16h. It’s a drop of five spots from last week.

Arkansas is 4-1 overall and 1-1 in the SEC after falling to No. 2 Georgia in Week 5. It was the Razorbacks’ first true road game of the season. The Bulldogs did not move from their slotting from gameday.

Other SEC teams inside the top 25 include Alabama (1), Kentucky (14), Arkansas’ opponent in Week 6, Ole Miss (17), Florida (18) and Auburn (19).

LSU, Mississippi State, Missouri – Arkansas’ other remaining SEC opponents – were not ranked, though LSU was the top vote-getting team among that group.

After Ole Miss, the Hogs will return home to play Auburn on October 16.
