For the first time since Oct. 1, the Arkansas Razorbacks are set to return to Reynolds Razorback Stadium on Saturday to host the No. 23 Liberty Flames.
The game is seen as an oddity, as Arkansas hosts a Group of Five program that has earned a spot in the top 25. But, it goes to show just how strong of a schedule Arkansas has. Not only do they face a tough SEC slate, but they have also gotten the best of the best in the Group of Five department by playing Cincinnati, BYU, and now Liberty.
Despite being ranked lower than the Flames, Arkansas is still given a 75% chance to beat Liberty on Saturday according to the ESPN Football Power Index.
The Razorbacks took significant strides in this week’s ESPN FPI, by moving five spots to No. 38 after defeating Auburn at Jordan-Hare Stadium. The win also defied the FPI’s expectations, as last week’s formula gave Auburn a 56% chance to win the game.
Liberty stays put at No. 66 in this week’s FPI after having the week off. In their previous game, the Flames defeated BYU in blowout fashion, 41-14.
The Razorbacks and Flames kickoff at 3 p.m. CT on Saturday. The game will be broadcasted live on SEC Network.
