Arkansas falls out of AP Poll Top 25, too

Hours after Arkansas found itself out of the coaches poll, the Razorbacks were out of the media poll, as well.

Oddly enough, the media had thought more of Arkansas football this season than the coaches. At least, when it came to the two polls that was the case.

But just hours after the Razorbacks fell out of the AFCA USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll, Arkansas found itself unranked in the Associated Press Top 25, too.

The Razorbacks went from No. 17 to the outside looking in after Saturday’s 38-23 loss to Auburn.

Florida joined Arkansas in falling out of the Top 25 among SEC teams. League members who were ranked include Georgia (1), Alabama (4), Ole Miss (12), Kentucky (15), Texas A&M (17) and Auburn (19).

Arkansas started the season 4-0 with wins over Texas and Texas A&M bolstering the Hogs’ status as upstarts. But after three consecutive losses – to Georgia, Ole Miss and Auburn – the Hogs are struggling to find their footing.

The good news is the Razorbacks were the top vote-getting team from the SEC among all its unranked. Arkansas netted 29 points in the vote tally, putting it 28th among all schools
