LSU will be without veteran safety [autotag]Greg Brooks Jr.[/autotag] for a second straight game on Saturday as he continues to deal with what [autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] described as a “medical emergency.”
Kelly has refrained from offering any more details out of respect for Brooks and his family.
Following the win on Saturday, Kelly dedicated the game ball to Brooks. LSU football later posted a video showing Kelly’s pregame speech followed up with the dedication.
Brooks transferred from Arkansas after the 2021 season. He spent three years with the Razorbacks, including two with current Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman.
Pittman opened his Monday press conference with some words for Brooks.

“Greg was a wonderful kid when he was here and did a great job for us,” Pittman said. “I want him and his family and LSU to know that we’re concerned, we’re praying for him.”
