The Diamond Hogs hit the road for the second time in two weeks to take on the the defending national champions, Ole Miss, for a weekend series at Swayze Field.
The defending champs haven’t looked as such, though.
Ole Miss is currently at the bottom of the barrel in the SEC, with 1-8 conference record. They’re tied there with the previous year’s national title winner, Mississippi State.
The Rebels were swept in their first SEC series in back-to-back weekends, losing to Vanderbilt and Florida. Their only conference came against Texas A&M last week (another SEC underachiever), but they lost the series.
The Diamond Hogs are looking to win four straight weekend series against Ole Miss for the first time since 2000-03.
