Arkansas Baseball: Hogs receive another top-five finish

The final USA Today Coaches Poll has been released, and Arkansas finds themselves finishing high yet again.

Now that the College World Series has ended, turning off the bright light that was the 2022 College Baseball season, the final polls are beginning to surface.

On Monday, D1Baseball.com revealed their final poll that placed Arkansas No. 4 in the nation behind Texas A&M, Oklahoma, and national champion Ole Miss.

Tuesday, USA Today released their final poll and has given Arkansas more respect that the folks at D1Baseball.

The Razorbacks received 691 points from the 31 coaches who have been selected to take part in this season’s USA Today poll, which is good enough to finish No. 3 in the nation.

Arkansas was one of eight SEC programs to end the season in the top-25, and the second highest behind Ole Miss.

In their journey to the College World Series, Arkansas faced five teams that finished in the top-25 in the postseason. They also faced Grand Canyon, that received votes in the final poll. Arkansas went 8-3 against those teams, dropping two games against Ole Miss in Omaha, and falling to Oklahoma State in the Stillwater Regional. The Razorbacks went undefeated against Stanford, Auburn, North Carolina, and Grand Canyon.

The season ended with Arkansas climbing ten spots since the last coaches poll was released on May 30.
