Ahead of Saturday’s matchup with the Colorado Buffaloes, first-year Arizona Wildcats head coach Brent Brennan shared some kind words on his counterpart, Deion Sanders.
Brennan, who was previously head coach at San Jose State from 2017-23, said he met Coach Prime before the season and was left impressed:
“He’s an awesome guy,” Brennan said (h/t Scott Procter of The Coloradoan). “I hung out with him a little bit at the Big 12 meetings and also at the media day, but he’s a really good dude. He’s done a great job for that program there. It’s really cool to see them making the move they’re making.”
Through the first six games of his tenure, Brennan has his Wildcats at 3-3 (1-2 Big 12) with wins over Utah, New Mexico and Northern Arizona.
Kickoff between the Buffs and Wildcats is set for 2 p.m. MT on Fox.
