Arizona Cardinals give Andre Hopkins $54.5M extension

The Arizona Cardinals and DeAndre Hopkins have worked out a lucrative extension.

The Arizona Cardinals were thrilled to acquire DeAndre Hopkins from the Houston Texans. And Tuesday they showed their appreciation by making the great wideout the highest-paid, non-quarterback.

Hopkins negotiated his own contract, which will see him have a two-year extension that is worth $54.5 million in new money with $42.75 million guaranteed at signing, per the NFL Network.

The deal keeps Hopkins in Arizona for five years — through the 2024 season — and $94 million total, for an annual average of $18.8 million.

Hopkins had 219 catches for around 2,700 yards in the past two seasons.
