Arion Carter details how football ‘has slowed down a lot’

Tennessee freshman linebacker Arion Carter details how football has slowed down a lot.

Freshman linebacker Arion Carter has played in five games for No. 18 Tennessee (4-1, 1-1 SEC) in 2023.

The 6-foot-1, 227-pound linebacker has recorded 13 tackles, one tackle for a loss and one pass deflection through five games.

Carter met with media during Tennessee’s off week and discussed how the game is slowing down for him.

“The game feels really good to me right now,” Carter said. “It has slowed down a lot. Along with getting more reps as a young guy coming in, I am seeing the game open up and it has slowed down tremendously for me.”

Carter came to the Vols from Smyrna High School in Smyrna, Tennessee.
