The never-ending ‘will Stefon Diggs be traded?’ question is surfacing again for NFL fans.
This week, Colin Cowherd of Fox Sports said that Diggs is “unhappy” in Minnesota and the Vikings are looking to deal him.
How much truth is there in that? I don’t know. Cowherd is a national radio host who isn’t around the team every day. It seems like these ‘reports’ pop up all the time.
But generally where there is smoke, there is some fire. And with Diggs and his cryptic tweets, oh boy is there fire.
To add gasoline to all of this, Diggs recently took down all photos on his Instagram of him in Vikings gear.
This is a really weird thing to do, but that’s kind of who Stefon Diggs is, right? Next, he might post a photo saying ‘trade me!’ but then later say he’s just kidding.
Diggs still has four years left on his contract and is due $11.5 million in 2020.
There’s no disputing his talent. After Diggs and Adam Thielen, the Vikings don’t much depth at all at wide receiver, so they surely could use him on their team.
But, if the Vikings can get good value in return, maybe a deal does make sense rather than constantly deal with distractions.
Stay tuned.
