The NBA season is starting to wind down, which means the push to the playoffs is beginning. According to many people, the Grizzlies are a tremendous bet to win the NBA Finals. Anything can happen throughout the postseason, but Memphis is set up well in the final stretch of the season.

The Grizzlies are poised for a big run in the playoffs between the team’s value in the betting market and talent. The Grizzlies are listed at +2500 as per Caesars Sportsbook Michigan

A $100 wager on the Grizzlies at +2500 would return $2600. This would be an extremely profitable return if the bet were to hit. Memphis was a dark horse heading into the season. If you are ahead of the game, you may have taken the team when they had even more betting value. Let’s get into why the Grizzlies are a tremendous bet to win the NBA Finals.

The Memphis Grizzlies are currently sitting with a 45-22 record behind the Phoenix Suns at 53-13. The Suns are by far the best team in the west, and they have proven this fact time and time again. However, the eight wins that currently separate the Grizzlies and Suns in the Western Conference mean very little once the playoffs begin.

Memphis followed by the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors have the same record as the Grizzlies, but Memphis is better than Ja Morant. The Warriors got very hot early in the season but have since cooled off immensely.

Golden State hit a very rough patch during the All-Star Break, and they have not looked like they did early in the season. If the Warriors find a rhythm, they may value the betting markets. However, the Grizzlies are the best call to come out of the west for the value.

This season, the Grizzlies have been so effective because they are a well-rounded team. Balance wins in nearly every sport because complementary play styles are critical for success. This season, the Memphis Grizzlies rank top ten in the league in offensive and defensive efficiency.

They are currently sitting at fifth in offensive and seventh in defensive ratings. They also have Ja Morant, a playmaker on both sides of the floor. In my opinion, any team with Morant has a chance to win the Finals. He will need to step up big down the stretch of the season to give his team a chance to win.

Morant is doing it all for the team this season. He is flying towards the top of the NBA MVP list because of his consistency and ability to make big-time plays. Morant averages 26.5 points, 6.8 assists, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game. Additionally, he is shooting over 49% from the field, which is remarkable for a player who works outside the paint.

Morant is the star on this roster, but he also has much support. Desmond Bane, Dillon Brooks, and Ziaire Williams are the players who flank Morant and peel defenders to the arc.

All three of these athletes have come up big on offense multiple times this season. Additionally, the team has Jaren Jackson Jr. on the other end of the floor to control opposing offenses. He is in the running to win Defensive Player of the Year.

Steven Adams is also a veteran leader on the team, and he has been tremendously mentoring the young stars. This is an underrated part of the Grizzlies. He will help the team when they get into a tough postseason spot as a mentor.

There is no reason why the Grizzlies cannot win the NBA Finals at +2500. As the second-best team in the Western Conference, they will need to go through the Suns. If they make this happen, all bets are off in the NBA Finals.
