Apex Legends fan discovers a hysterical underwater sniping spot

Sebastian the crab would be proud.

Gaining the high ground in combat is old hat in Apex Legends. Now it’s all about picking off opponents from below sea level — as in literally underwater.

Over on Reddit, user Kam1yo made a rather peculiar discovery. Amid the low-tide waters of  Season 11’s Storm Point map, there’s a pool where anyone can crouch down below the water and begin picking people off from a distance. The hilarious part? Enemies players can’t see who’s shooting at them since the water offers a bright blue oceanic ghillie suit of sorts. Also, you can breathe underwater down there because why not.

It’s undoubtedly some sort of geometry glitch that  Respawn Entertainment  will likely patch out, so try it out for yourself soon. Or you could watch the clip below to get an idea.

This busted UNDERWATER hideout feels like a hack 😂 from apexlegends

Dastardly behavior, totally unsportsmanlike! It doesn’t take any strategic know-how  like tap-strafing does, either.

Apex Legends is known for unintentionally hilarious combat encounters like this, from  downed players taking out entire squads via stray grenades  to  trapping players inside bathrooms by tossing poisonous barrels behind  them. The game is a veritable sandbox of goofy nonsense, and that’s part of why it’s one of the most popular battle royale games out there.
