Antonio Brown has consistently made headlines over the course of the NFL season for all the wrong reasons, but despite his recent arrest, and the ongoing NFL investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct made against Brown, the wide receiver hopes to return to the league and resume his football career.
Earlier this week, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said that he wants to help Brown, and that the NFL and players association will make resources available for Brown to get on the “right track.”
Via Trib Live:
“The first thing always is to think about the well-being of Antonio, to understand what Antonio is going through. We don’t talk about the wellness of our players publicly, but I can tell you that you can be sure that the NFL and NFLPA have tremendous amounts of resources available to all players. They are going to be made available to Antonio.”
In a lengthy interview with ESPN, Brown apologized for his actions over the last year, but questioned Goodell’s comments, telling Josina Anderson that he’ll believe the NFL is looking out for him “when we see it.”
“I was pleased to hear that after 140 days that there was some positivity about me because as of late I’ve just been the cancer of the NFL. The problem child, the guy who gets in trouble, the kind of guy who has the bad narrative about him.”
