Anthony Richardson and Bryce Young healthy and back as starters

Rookie QBs Anthony Richardson and Bryce Young healthy and back as starters in Week 4

It was a pleasant site to see Sunday when both of the previously injured rookie quarterbacks took the field for the Colts and the Panthers respectively on Sunday, and both showed off their skillsets with a clean bill of health. Though they each ended with a loss it wasn’t for a lack of trying from either Anthony Richardson or Bryce Young.

Richardson in particular looked locked in and unstoppable as both a passer and a runner, pulling his team on his back in an excellent comeback attempt from 20-0 before eventually losing in overtime. Richardson showed off some ridiculous playmaking ability, making one of a kind throws from awkward arm angles and throwing laser beams across the field all afternoon. We knew Richardson’s arm talent was special, but he looks like a whole other level of player. Ultimately ending the day with 256 yards and three touchdowns on the day, Richardson proved he belongs in the NFL.

On a more unfortunate side of the NFL rookie reality was Bryce Young, who struggled to find a ton of success behind one of the worst performing offensive lines in the league. Young himself posted a respectable 25 of 32 passes for 204 yards, but failed to find the end zone. While Young looked the best he has all season it is tough to imagine him finding much success with his currently offensive line and wide receiver situation. Something better change in Carolina quick before they find themselves down a quarterback once again.
