Anthony Harris on the Vikings: ‘I’d definitely like to stay if possible’

“It’s very competitive, so I mean it has it has everything I want and I’d definitely like to stay if possible,” Anthony Harris said.

It’s going to be hard to keep safety Anthony Harris in free agency, mostly because of how good he was for the Vikings in 2019-20.

Harris is coming off a year in which he had six interceptions, tied for a league high. He also had 11 pass deflections.

Harris could command a large salary in free agency, but the Vikings made some roster decisions recently that might lead to the team re-signing Harris.

Here’s what Harris said on SiriusXM NFL Radio, per NFL.com:

“I love Minneapolis, love the organization, it’s a good city. The people there are really nice. It’s very competitive, so I mean it has it has everything I want and I’d definitely like to stay if possible.”

The end of this quote is definitely comforting, especially after Harris said he would “keep his options open” previously. Sure, it doesn’t mean that Harris will necessarily stay with the Vikings, but it’s a good sign that he would love to stay if it’s possible.
