With less than 10 games remaining in the season for most teams, some players not heading toward the playoffs are likely beginning to look ahead to the offseason.
While some teams are still in the hunt for the playoffs and play-in tournament, others, like the Minnesota Timberwolves, are on track to finish near the bottom of the standings. With the offseason on the horizon, Anthony Edwards recently touched on his plans over the summer.
But, left out a few key details as only he could.
Once the season wraps up, Edwards plans on hitting the gym often. He seemed to be excited about coming back next season better than this year and is looking to stay under the radar and just work on his game in the coming months.
“I love to see improvements in my game,” Edwards said. “I’m going to be in the gym early mornings and late nights when the season ends. I plan to come back better than ever so it’s going to be pretty fun.”
As for the areas of his game he will be working on?
“I ain’t telling nobody,” Edwards said. “I want to come back like Houdini.”

Naturally, Edwards added an element of humor in speaking with reporters, but it is reasonable to think that he will be working on every area of his game. He turned in a strong rookie campaign but is certainly far from a finished product.
Edwards built up a strong case for Rookie of the Year as the race will likely come down to him and LaMelo Ball. With Ball back now, he may emerge as the frontrunner to win but the competition over the final few weeks of the season should be fun to watch, nonetheless.
