Anthony Davis takes home Western Conference Player of the Week

Anthony Davis took home the Western Conference Player of the Week award after monstrous performances in a 4-0 week.

Even though he was sick for most of the week, Anthony Davis was the best player in the league last week and he was honored as the best player in the West on Monday for his performances during a 4-0 week for the Los Angeles Lakers.

The NBA announced that Davis was the Western Conference Player of the Week for last week, averaging 35 points per game and eight rebounds while shooting 63% from the field. He had monster games of 39 points on Friday in Portland and a 50-point performance last night against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Miami’s Jimmy Butler, who the Lakers will face on their upcoming road trip this Friday, took home the honor for the Eastern Conference.

Davis won the Player of the Week Award to begin the month of November as well. Davis’ has led the Lakers in scoring all season while leading the NBA in blocks all season long.

The Lakers are off for the next couple of days but they will also be traveling across the country to Florida where they will begin a five-game Eastern Conference road trip on Wednesday against the Orlando Magic.
