The Los Angeles Lakers will be without their star big man Anthony Davis for the fourth consecutive game as he continues to recover from a nasty fall on his bum last week that led to a nasty bruise and lots of pain, according to our own Mark Medina of USA TODAY.
“Still not ready,” Lakers coach Frank Vogel said following morning shoot-around
The Lakers have won all of their recent games without Davis in the lineup, as they are riding a nine-game win-streak into tonight’s game against the Orlando Magic. The Lakers also have the schedule to consider when determining the right day for Davis to return, as the Lakers have their second-longest road trip of the season starting Saturday night in Houston.
LeBron didn’t play in one of the three games that Davis missed last week, but in the ones he has played, he’s carried the scoring load for L.A. in a big way. Over the two games LeBron played without Davis over the past week, he’s averaging 33 points, nine rebounds, 7.5 assists and shooting 63.4% from the field as well as a scorching 44.4% from the 3-point line.
