Anthony Davis shows out for Lakers in Tuesday win over 76ers

The Los Angeles Lakers were back home on Tuesday and Anthony Davis looked like the game off did him wonders.

A game off and a couple of days rest appears to have done Anthony Davis quite well. Davis was deep into his bag of tricks tonight, finishing with 37 points, 13 rebounds, two assists, four steals and four blocks in a Lakers win over a shorthanded Philadelphia 76ers squad on Tuesday, 120-107. LeBron James had a big game with 22 points and 14 assists, but Davis had some incredible highlights, even showing off some handles we haven’t seen much from him this season.

Davis torched Philadelphia’s defense all night, which is struggling without three of their top defenders in All-Stars Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons, as well as guard Josh Richardson. As a result, Davis cooked Al Horford all night.

The Lakers bench was loving the play from Davis, who had a couple of breakaways to end the first half on a couple of the four steals he had on the night. LeBron also made sure to show off his range again tonight, one game after draining a 35-footer in New Orleans.

The Lakers looked good on Tuesday but they will get an entirely different test this Friday against the league-leading Milwaukee Bucks and reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo.
