Year 17. Age 35. And LeBron James is still putting together historic playoff performances and moving up the NBA record books. Tuesday night’s Game 3 against the Houston Rockets was no different, with LeBron James putting together an epic performance on both ends of the floor. He finished with 36 points but he also had four blocks, with most of them coming in the second half as he helped the Lakers hold the Rockets to only 38 second-half points.
After the game, Anthony Davis was asked to find the words to describe the performance of their team’s leader. He believes James has found the “fountain of youth,” a washed king he is not.
Lakers’ Anthony Davis on LeBron James after Game 3 win over Rockets: “He’s drinking from the fountain of youth. The things he’s able to do on the floor still, his head still touching the rim, still taking the big shots, still playing physical.” pic.twitter.com/gxEDqLnzgo

James has been great in the postseason but he has elevated his level of play in the last two games as the Lakers have needed to elevate their level of play against a strong Rockets team that has pushed them outside of their normal comfort zone.
