Monday is LeBron James’ 35th birthday and he started his day coming off a solid home win on Sunday against the Dallas Mavericks, helping the Los Angeles Lakers sweep their weekend back-to-back. The consecutive wins were the perfect birthday gift for LeBron after a four-game losing streak and a loss on Christmas Day to the Los Angeles Clippers. So perfect that he shouldn’t expect anything more from his superstar partner Anthony Davis for the big 3-5.
Davis joked to reporters following Sunday night’s win that he was unaware of LeBron’s birthday and would also not be getting him anything extra for it, via Lauren Jones of the L.A. Sentinel.
Reporter: what are you going to get LeBron for his birthday?
AD: Oh his birthday is tomorrow? No I’m not getting him no gift. 🤣 pic.twitter.com/bcu96ULozD

According to another report from the locker room, James responded back that the best gift for him from Davis would be to “get out of his face.”
Anthony Davis said he wasn't getting LeBron James a birthday gift, then turned to ask if he wanted a gift.
LeBron responded, "Yeah, for you to get the hell out of my face."

The chemistry between James and Davis has been one of the driving forces behind the success of this team, with it being on display once again as Davis ribs LeBron before also discussing his 17 years of excellence on the basketball court.
Whether Davis gets him a material gift or not, James is feeling much better at the turn of 35 than the turn of 34 in large part because Davis has helped improve his basketball life.
