Kobe Bryant was absolutely on the minds of the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday night, especially with the team wearing the special Mamba version of their jerseys.
It was Bryant who Anthony Davis spoke about in his post-game interview after hitting an incredible game-winner — thanks, in part, to Mason Plumlee’s defensive mistake — to take down the Denver Nuggets in Game 2, but the tribute to the late Lakers legend went beyond that.
As many fans noticed, after Davis nailed his three at the buzzer, he appeared to shout or mouth, “KOBE!” just like so many of us did when taking shots of our own during Bryant’s career.
And he confirmed that’s exactly what he did:
