Another NBA analyst thinks the Boston Celtics won the NBA’s 2024 trade deadline

Yet, the Celtics did just three trades to shore up their bench. How did they win it, exactly?

More than one NBA analyst is saying that the Boston Celtics won the NBA’s 2024 trade deadline. Yet, the Celtics did just three trades one could even think of as just two deals structured into three, and they did them for players who will likely not see much playing time in the 2024 postseason. So how exactly did they win the trade deadline with such minor moves?

To be clear, the Celtics sending out reserve forwards Lamar Stevens and Dalano Banton, and a handful of second round draft picks to land backup big man Xavier Tillman, Sr. from the Memphis Grizzlies and reserve wing Jaden Springer from the Philadelphia 76ers were not bad moves at all. Pretty good, in fact!

But to learn why another NBA analyst is making such a claim about Boston’s trade deadline, you will have to hear it from the man himself.

Check out the clip above to hear why the eponymous host of “The Alley Oop with Ryan Blackburn” and fan-favorite Celtics blogger Dan Greenberg had to say about the Celtics’ winning the 2024 trade deadline.
