Another 4-star prospect will attend the Tennessee game

The list grows again. Another four-star recruit will be in town for the Vols game.

The guest list grows again.

Four-star wide receiver [autotag]Cortez Mills[/autotag] announced he will be in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium for the showdown between the Florida Gators and No. 9 Tennessee Volunteers.

Mills received an official offer in early August and wants to wander the UF campus, knowing the team would welcome a verbal commitment with open arms.

“When I step foot on campus again with the offer,” Mills said. “I want to see how they treat me.”

Mills made a trip to Coral Gables, Florida, this past Saturday to watch the matchup between Miami and Texas A&M. Both schools sent offers to Mills. Miami probably has an extra leg in the race after beating the Aggies on Saturday, 48-33.

According to Graham Hall at 247Sports, Florida assistant wide receiver coach David Doeker is contacting Mills to keep the Gators’ foot in the door.

“I feel like we’re building a great bond already,” Mills said. “(Doeker’s) been giving hints that he wants me to get up there to The Swamp, but I just never had time to get up there.”

Tennessee hasn’t sent Mills an offer (yet), so the ball is in Florida’s court for recruiting a highly regarded prospect. Cortez Mills sits at No. 153 on the 247Sports ratings and is the 20th-best wideout in the nation.

Kickoff for the battle between Florida and No. 11 Tennessee is set for 7 p.m. EDT at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. The matchup will air on ESPN.
